Northampton man denies computer hacking charge

A man from Northampton has denied committing online attacks in connection with activist group Anonymous.

Christopher Weatherhead, 21, of Holly Road, is charged with conspiracy to carry out an unauthorised act in relation to a computer.

Lawyers for a south London man and a man from Hartlepool, who face the same charge, asked for more time before their clients entered a plea.

All three were bailed to appear at Southwark Crown Court on 6 March.

Weatherhead also pleaded not guilty to failing to enclose encryption keys to enable the investigation of computers.

The two other defendants are Ashley Rhodes, 27, of Bolton Crescent, Camberwell; and Peter Gibson, 23, of Castletown Road, Hartlepool.

The alleged attacks took place from August 2010 to January 2011.
