Cash boost for eco-friendly buses in Kent and Sussex

Two bus companies in the South East have been awarded a share of government funding to buy environmentally-friendly buses and improve services.

Arriva Kent and Brighton and Hove Buses will each get 11 double-decker hybrid electric buses.

Brighton and Hove Buses has also been given £3.5m to improve services to the city centre, Brighton station and the Royal Sussex County hospital.

It is part of a £101m package of bus improvements across England.
