Jack Eatock named as man killed in Darwen car accident

A man from Greater Manchester who died in a car crash in Lancashire has been named by police.

Jack Eatock, 26, from Astley, was driving a BMW saloon which hit a dry stone wall on the A666 at Bull Hill near Darwen at about 03:00 BST on Sunday.

A passenger in the car, a 24-year-old man also from the Greater Manchester area, escaped with only minor injuries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
