Sean Flowers named as van driver killed in A17 crash

A driver killed in a four-vehicle crash near a Lincolnshire bridge has been named as a man from Nottinghamshire.

Van driver Sean Flowers, 45, from New Balderton, near Newark, died at the scene on the A17 at Swineshead Bridge, near Boston, last Friday.

A 51-year-old lorry driver from Lincoln was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and later released on bail.

The two other drivers involved were taken to hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for nearly nine hours after the crash just before 14:00 BST.
