Jurors sworn in for Lesley Dunford daughter murder trial
Jurors have been sworn in for the trial of a woman accused of killing her three-year-old child eight years ago.
Lesley Dunford, 33, is accused of murdering Lucy Dunford at their former family home in Camber, East Sussex.
Ms Dunford, now of Windermere Close in Exeter, Devon, has denied the charge at Lewes Crown Court.
Lucy died on 2 February 2004 at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings, where she had been taken by air ambulance from her home in Pelwood Road.
Ms Dunford was arrested at her home in Devon last year and taken to Brighton where she was charged by Sussex Police.
An inquest into Lucy's death began in 2009, but the hearing was halted by East Sussex coroner Alan Craze to enable police to investigate the background to the case.
