A prisoner who was on the run after allegedly attacking a woman in Oxfordshire while on day release has been arrested, police have said.

Richard Hunt was working at a charity shop in Headington on Thursday when police believe he assaulted a woman.

The woman was left with cuts on her hands, police said.

Hunt, from Swindon, was arrested in the Eynsham area shortly after 11:00 BST and he is in custody at St Aldates police station.

He was serving a five-and-a-half year sentence for robbery at HMP Springhill in Buckinghamshire.
