Two Cambridgeshire police officers injured in car chase arrest

A Suffolk man was arrested after a car pursuit in Cambridgeshire which left two officers with minor injuries.

Police were called to a house in Abbey Place, off Market Street, Fordham, just before 01:00 BST, following reports of an attempted break-in.

A car was driven off and pursued for around four miles by patrol cars to Parsonage Road, in Burwell, where a stinger was used to stop the vehicle.

Police said two vehicles were rammed and the officers injured in the arrest.

They were treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge for minor injuries.

A 31-year-old man, from Mildenhall, Suffolk, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft from a vehicle, theft and failing to stop for police.

He is being questioned at Parkside Police Station in Cambridge.
