Fire at wood recycling yard tackled

A blaze involving about 1,000 tonnes of timber at a West Midlands wood recycling yard has been tackled by fire crews.

The fire at the site in Broad Lane near Coventry took seven hours to bring under control.

Up to 20 firefighters were involved in dealing with the fire.

The fire service, which was called at 13:45 GMT, said the blaze was started by a digger.
