Loughborough bus shelter crash death appeal

A man has died after the car he was driving left the road and hit a bus shelter in a Leicestershire town.

The crash happened at about 15:30 BST on Thursday, on Station Boulevard, in Loughborough.

Stephen Hammonds, 67, from West Bridgford, in Nottinghamshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Hammonds' grey Ford Focus was travelling towards the A60 Nottingham Road at the time. Leicestershire Police has appealed for witnesses.
