Teenager killed in head-on collision in North Yorkshire

A 16-year-old boy has died and two men and a child have been injured in a car crash close to the North and East Yorkshire border.

The crash took place on the A645 near Drax Power Station just after 18:00 BST on Friday.

The teenager was a passenger in a Fiat Punto and its driver, a 25-year-old man from Goole, was seriously injured.

The Punto was in collision with a Ford Focus C-Max.

The Ford's 40-year-old driver and his six-year-old son were also seriously hurt.

Humberside Police said the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
