Naeem and Nabeel Ahmed guilty of rape

Two men have been found guilty of raping an 18-year-old woman.

They were on trial along with three others accused of a number of offences against six people, including two girls in Essex County Council care.

Naeem Ahmed, of Barking and Nabeel Ahmed of Romford were found guilty of rape. Hassan Raza, of Barking, was found guilty of sexual assault.

The three men were cleared of other charges, including those relating to the girls in county council care.

The convictions relate to offences committed between March and May last year.

Naeem Ahmed, 25, and 24-year-old Raza, both of Westminister Gardens in Barking, and 23-year-old Nabeel Ahmed, of Chadwell Heath Lane, in Romford, will be sentenced in September.

They were told to expect lengthy prison sentences by the trial judge.

Jameel Ahmed, 25, of Dagenham, was acquitted by the jury and Anas Mis Iqbal, 25, from East Ham, will be retried after the jury failed to reach a verdict.
