A rare Rothschild's giraffe has been born at Paignton Zoo in Devon.

Rothschilds are one of the world's most endangered subspecies, with only about 2,500 left in the wild, zoo staff said.

The 6ft (1.8m) calf, born on Tuesday, is already up and about, following his mother, and being seen by visitors, senior mammals keeper Matthew Webb said.
