Football photographer turns spotlight on fans

9 September 2013 Last updated at 06:22 BST

Football photographer Stuart Roy Clarke travels around the country's football grounds taking photographs of fans.

Inside Out meets up with him as he captures a snapshot of life from a fan's perspective at the north's football stadiums.

We join him at Wigan Athletic where he explains how he photographs the fans' emotions and the drama of the game in the stands.

Stuart, from Cumbria, is currently working on photographs of fans for an exhibition at the National Football Museum.

Inside Out is broadcast on BBC One North East and Cumbria, North West and Yorkshire and Lincolnshire on Monday, 9 September at 19:30 GMT and nationwide on the iPlayer for seven days thereafter.
