TC's, Selly Oak Joshua Ribera was stabbed outside TC's club in Selly Oak

An 18-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a rapper who was stabbed to death in Birmingham.

Joshua Ribera, 18, was attacked outside TC's club in Selly Oak at about 23:00 BST on Friday. A post-mortem examination found he died from a stab wound to the heart.

Armani Mitchell, from The Green in Northfield, was arrested on Saturday.

He is due to appear before magistrates in Birmingham on Tuesday morning.

An 18-year-old man from Edgbaston who was arrested on Sunday has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Mr Ribera had been attending an event at the club in memory of Kyle Sheehan who died after being stabbed in the leg in Birmingham a year ago.

Members of the music industry joined Mr Ribera's friends in paying tribute to the up and coming grime musician, who went by the stage name Depzman.

West Midlands Police said they were still keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack in Selly Oak on Friday night.
