Witness sought over Chester stabbing
Police investigating a stabbing in Chester are trying to trace a possible witness.
The 35-year-old victim was stabbed in the chest as he walked along City Walls at about 21:30 BST on 21 October.
Police want to speak to a man who was seen giving directions to another man on St Werburgh Street about 15 minutes earlier.
A 22-year-old man accused of attempted murder is due to appear at crown court on 4 November.
Det Insp Helen Spooner said the potential witness "may not realise he could have important information and we are keen to speak to him."
The man who was stabbed has been discharged from hospital and is recovering well, police said.
