Ex-BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall has denied 15 charges of rape and five counts of indecent assault involving two girls.
The allegations relate to two girls aged 16 or under and are said to have taken place in Greater Manchester and Cheshire between 1976 and 1981.
Hall, 83, appeared at Preston Crown Court to enter his pleas earlier.
He is due to stand trial on the charges from 6 May.
Hall was the face of BBC regional news in the North West before he presented the TV entertainment programme It's A Knockout.
In later years, he was best known for his football match summaries on BBC Radio 5 Live.
