A total of 32 people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences during Cheshire Police's "largest ever operation" targeting organised crime.

About 250 officers were involved in Operation Impact, with several addresses in Blacon, Hoole and Lache in Chester raided earlier.

In total, 40 homes were targeted in Cheshire, Merseyside and north Wales.

Simon Byrne, Chief Constable of Cheshire Police, said the raids sent out a "clear and unequivocal message".
