Jake Austin guilty of murdering John O'Donohue in car crash

A man has been found guilty of murdering a pedestrian who was hit by a stolen car following an argument at a road junction in Kent.

Jake Austin, 25, from Gillingham, admitted the manslaughter of John O'Donohue, 33, in Castlemaine Avenue on 23 January. He denied murder.

He was convicted after a trial at Maidstone Crown Court.

Austin, who had also pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine, was remanded in custody for sentencing on Friday.

Mr O'Donohue, also known as John Hedges, was fatally injured when he was trapped underneath the Ford Mondeo estate which was deliberately driven at him.
