A man has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and assault after a police pursuit ended in a crash.

A police BMW and a car collided between junctions T6 and T8 on the M6 Toll motorway in Staffordshire on Saturday.

Mark Abraham, from Warden in Sheerness, Kent, also faces charges including dangerous driving and criminal damage.

Cannock Magistrates remanded the 23-year-old in custody to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 6 October.
