More than 1,000 cannabis plants found in Dudley shop

Two men have been arrested after more than 1,000 cannabis plants were found at a shop in Dudley, police said.

The plants were found over two floors above Bargain Stores in Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, a spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said.

The men were arrested on suspicion of cannabis production after the raid at the premises at 07:15 GMT.

They remain in custody and will be questioned by officers.

"The illegal drugs have been seized and will be destroyed by our Cannabis Disposal Team," police added.
