A woman has been arrested after a 14-year-old boy in foster care went missing in East Sussex.

Rhys Millerchip left his address in Seaford on 30 December and has not been seen since, Sussex Police said.

A 33-year-old woman from Nuneaton, Warwickshire, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to abduct a child in care.

Rhys may be in the Nuneaton area, or in the Sidcup or Welling areas of south east London, police said.

He was described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black Nike trainers and a khaki green zip-up jacket.

The woman was arrested by Warwickshire Police in the early hours of Thursday and remains in custody.

Anyone who has seen Rhys or knows where he might be has been asked to contact Sussex Police.
