Two women die in crash on A11 in Norfolk

Two women have been killed in a three-car crash on the A11 near Attleborough in Norfolk.

A Peugeot 306, a Vauxhall Zafira and a blue Ford Focus were involved in a collision at about 23:30 GMT on Saturday close to Mr D's Diner at Besthorpe.

The driver of the Peugeot, aged 46, died at the scene.

The 30-year-old driver of the Vauxhall was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, but later died.

The occupants of the Ford Focus sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed in both directions for several hours to allow emergency vehicles to work at the scene.

Officers appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Norfolk Police.
