A woman has pleaded not guilty to carrying out a fraud in which more than £100,000 was withdrawn from the bank account of a dying woman.

Stacy Banner, 40, of Oldbury, West Midlands, is jointly charged with John Lowe, 84, formerly of Farnham, Surrey, with fraud by false representation.

Ms Banner appeared before Guildford magistrates, while Mr Lowe appeared via videolink but did not enter a plea.

The pair were bailed to appear at Guildford Crown Court on 2 April.

They are accused of withdrawing more than £100,000 from the bank account of Susanna Wilson, Mr Lowe's dying partner, intending to cause loss to her or to expose that person to a risk of loss.

The alleged offence is said to have been carried out between 1 December 2012 and 30 March 2013 in Farnham.
