A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Wolverhampton father, following a tip-off.

Dylan Jackson was caught in Bath, Somerset, at about 20:45 BST on Wednesday "following information received" that day, said police.

Armed police arrested him in a block of flats in Northampton Street, West Midlands Police said.

The 19-year-old is wanted over the killing of 47-year-old Herman Simpson on 13 April.

Mr Simpson was found stabbed to death in a bedsit at about 20:30 BST in Compton Road, Wolverhampton.

Police said Mr Jackson had "been on the run" since then.

He has been taken to a police station in the West Midlands for questioning.

Det Insp Warren Hines, leading the investigation, said "this is still very much a live inquiry and we're still appealing for information".
