Child abuse: Fourteen arrests in North Staffordshire inquiry

Fourteen people have been arrested on suspicion of child abuse in North Staffordshire.

Police said the males, aged between 14 and 41, were being held in police stations across the county for questioning.

They are from North Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Chesterfield.

Police said it was part of an investigation into "serious sexual criminal offences" against two young women.

Houses were also searched in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and Wolverhampton. Property and vehicles have been seized, police said.
