Man charged with stabbing murder in Hertfordshire

A man has been charged with the murder of a 32-year-old who died in Hertfordshire from a single stab wound.

Mark Butler, 32, from Burydale in Stevenage, was stabbed at a house in Bowcock Walk on Tuesday and died later in hospital.

Dwayne Parchment, 28, of Bowcock Road, was arrested on Thursday and is due to appear before magistrates on Saturday.

A woman, 35, from Stevenage, who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in a murder, has been bailed.

Det Insp Carl Foster said all three people were known to each other and that officers were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

He added: "Members of the public who have information about this incident or who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area on the day of the offence are still asked to make contact with police."
