Two bodies found in Hertfordshire house

Two bodies have been found at a house in a Hertfordshire village, sparking a police investigation.

Officers were called to an address in Marford Road, Wheathampstead, near St Albans, on Saturday "following concern for welfare of two people" police said.

The two bodies have not yet been formally identified.

A police spokeswoman said it appeared nobody else was involved in the incident and post-mortem examinations were due to take place on Monday.

"As inquiries are ongoing at this time, it would be inappropriate for us to comment further," she added.
