Polish man accused of murder of wife in Luton remanded

A Polish man accused of murdering his wife in Bedfordshire has been remanded in custody and will be tried next year.

Jan Michal Biliniewicz, 31, appeared before Luton Crown Court and was assisted by an interpreter during a hearing to set a case timetable.

Prosecutor Beverly Cripps said a date for the murder trial to be heard had been set for 4 April next year.

His wife Monika, 25, was found injured at the home they shared in Downs Road, Luton and died later in hospital.

He is next due in court on 13 December.
