Police investigating the death of a man in Bedfordshire are appealing for people who were in a nearby pub at the time to come forward.

Paul Mondon, 47, of Greenfield Road, Flitton, suffered head injuries in an incident in High Street South, Dunstable, on 9 October.

Officers believe customers in the Sugar Loaf in High Street North in the early hours may have witnessed a fight.

A man appeared in court on Wednesday charged with Mr Mondon's murder.

Det Insp Carl Foster said: "I believe a number of people in the Sugar Loaf may have witnessed a fight between 0100 and 0140 BST which may be linked to the fatal assault on Mr Mondon.

"I would ask for anyone who was in the pub and saw the people involved to contact the police."

Police have charged a man with murder and a second man is currently on police bail pending further inquiries.
