Teenager arrested over fatal stabbing in Luton park

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the stabbing of a teenager in a park in Bedfordshire.

Michael Simwanza, 17, was stabbed at the Kingsway Recreation Ground in Luton, shortly before 1515 BST on Saturday and died later in hospital.

A post mortem examination found he died from a stab wound to the chest.

The boy handed himself in to Cambridgeshire Police on Monday and is being held at Luton Police Station.

Michael lived in the Farley Hill area with his mother, sister and brother.
