Man in court over pub stabbing death near Milton Keynes

A man accused of murdering the landlord of a pub near Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire has been remanded in custody after appearing in court.

Bernardo Derantes, 34, of Hartwell Road, Hanslope, appeared at Luton Crown Court accused of killing pub landlord Jaime Ball, 29, on 28 December.

Judge John Bevan QC told him his trial would begin on 6 June this year.

Mr Ball was landlord of the Globe Inn in Hanslope and died from stab wounds. Mr Derantes did not apply for bail.

He is due to return to court on 21 February.
