Berkhamsted man, 27, pleads guilty to firearms offences

A 27-year-old man from Hertfordshire has been remanded in custody after he admitted conspiring to import two firearms and live ammunition.

Anthony Contos, from Berkhamsted, will be sentenced next month at Luton Crown Court after a psychiatric assessment.

At the court on Monday he pleaded guilty to four charges of conspiracy to import two self-loading pistols and 19 rounds of ammunition last year.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing five phials of a class C steroid drug.
