YouTube plea over High Wycombe shotgun attack
Detectives have turned to YouTube for information on an attack on a 14-year-old boy who was shot in both knees in Buckinghamshire.
Police were called to a house in Challener Road, High Wycombe, on Tuesday night where they found the injured boy.
Det Ch Insp Rebecca Mears, of Thames Valley Police, appealed on YouTube for information to help their inquiry.
She said his injuries were thought to have been caused by a shotgun.
She said: "We are currently gathering evidence and following a number of lines of inquiry. No motive has been established yet.
"Information from members of the local community will be very important in finding out who did this."
The boy, who has not been named, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
Ch Insp Colin Seaton, deputy area commander, said: "This type of crime is rare in Wycombe and we are doing all that we can to ensure we catch whoever is responsible.
"There is a dedicated team of officers working on the case and the neighbourhood policing team will be patrolling the area to speak to anyone who might have concerns.
"We will be working relentlessly and will keep the community updated as the investigation progresses."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Thames Valley Police.
