Two men from Luton remanded over possession of firearms

Two men from Luton have been remanded in custody on firearms charges over an incident in the town on Saturday.

The front and back doors of a property in Willsden Avenue were damaged. Waseem Baig, 35, and Zahir Baig, 38, both of Radnor Road, Luton, were arrested.

They were jointly charged with possessing a shotgun and ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Other charges were possession of a shortened shotgun and ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.

Both are due appear before Luton Crown Court on 6 June this year.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the attack on the property to contact them.
