Arrest after boy shot in knees at High Wycombe house

A 25-year-old man has been arrested after a teenage boy was shot in both knees when he answered the door of his house in Buckinghamshire.

The boy, 14, was found when Thames Valley police were called to Challener Road, High Wycombe, on 8 March.

The man has been quizzed on suspicion of causing wounding with intent to endanger life and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

He has been released on bail until May, following Saturday's arrest.

Det Ch Insp Joe Kidman, leading the investigation, said: "Although we have made an arrest, I would like to make it clear that this is still very much an active investigation and I appeal to anyone who saw or knows anything to contact us immediately.

"The boy is fortunately making good progress in his recovery.

"If you saw anyone in the area or a vehicle acting suspiciously at the time, or have other information, no matter how insignificant you believe it to be, please get in touch."
