Potentially lethal drugs stolen from Lister Hospital

Potentially lethal drugs have been stolen during a burglary at a hospital in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

The break-in at the maternity unit of the Lister Hospital is believed to have taken place between Friday evening and Monday morning.

Vials of atropine, adrenaline and amiodarone were among the drugs taken.

Police said the drugs were usually given to patients in cardiac arrest and could have "potentially fatal consequences" if taken by a healthy person.

Anyone who has information about the break-in or finds the drugs is asked to contact police.
