Man charged over fatal A41 crash in Hertfordshire

A 42-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a collision in Hertfordshire involving 10 vehicles.

One man died and nine other people were injured in the crash, which involved a petrol tanker, a van and several cars on the A41 at Kings Langley on Tuesday.

Ionel Bordieanu, a Romanian national, appeared at Hatfield magistrates and was remanded in custody.

He will appear at St Albans Crown Court on 3 May.
