Man charged with murder of missing St Albans man

A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder of a man from Hertfordshire who has been missing for more than a year.

Murray Thompson, from St Albans, was 34 when he was last seen on 20 April 2010 in the Watford area.

James Evans, from Bushey Mill Lane in Watford was charged on Monday prior to a hearing at St Albans Crown Court.

Two more men who were arrested in July and September of 2010 have also been charged in connection with the investigation.

The men, aged 46 and 31, are charged with perverting the course of justice, conspiracy to produce cannabis and intimidation of a witness.

Both men appeared at Hatfield Remand Court and were remanded into custody.
