Man's body found during Milton Keynes flat fire

The body of a man has been found by fire crews fighting a blaze at a flat in Milton Keynes.

The fire broke out in the early hours of Friday morning in Shearmans, Fullers Slade.

The body of the 38-year-old was found in the ground floor flat and police are treating the fire as suspicious.

The man has not yet been formally identified. A Thames Valley Police spokesman said the force had begun an inquiry.

Det Ch Insp Justin Fletcher from Thames Valley Police said: "Although at this stage we do not believe there is any third party involvement we are keeping an open mind until the scene has been examined by our scenes of crime officers and investigators from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service."
