Police divers search River Lea in Ware for missing man
A stretch of river in Hertfordshire is being searched by specialist police divers after reports of a man in the water.
Hertfordshire Police and the fire brigade began the search of the River Lea, Ware, on Tuesday night after calls from concerned members of the public.
The man is believed to be Daniel Cockman, 31 of Gladstone Road, Ware, who is missing, police said.
Thames Valley Police divers have joined the hunt for Mr Cockman.
Det Insp Stuart Orton said: "We are trying to establish Daniel's movements [on] Tuesday evening.
"Evidence available at this stage seems to indicate that he may have been on the river bank, but I am not ruling out the possibility that he is at another location."
