Boy charged with attempted murder in Bedfordshire
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Bedfordshire.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) advised Bedfordshire Police to charge the boy, from Southend, Essex, over the incident in Leighton Buzzard in April.
A 34-year-old man suffered stab wounds to the neck and had to undergo extensive surgery following the incident, a CPS spokesman said.
The boy was released on bail and is due before Luton Youth Court in July.
