Man charged with Luton pensioner's murder

A 25-year-old man has been charged with murdering a pensioner in Bedfordshire.

Police were called to a bungalow in Vespers Close, Luton, on Saturday evening where they found Frederick Hodsdon, 69, who had suffered head injuries.

He was taken to the Luton and Dusntable Hospital but died later that night.

David Clairmonte, of Thornview Road, Houghton Regis, has been charged with his murder. He will appear before magistrates on Wednesday.

Another man, questioned over the incident, has been released on police bail.
