Kings Langley post office robbed by armed men

Armed robbers have targeted a post office in Hertfordshire.

Two men rushed into the Hempstead Road store in Kings Langley at about 15:00 BST on Wednesday and threatened staff with a handgun.

The pair, who were both in their early 20s, demanded cash from the till and then left the store and ran off in the direction of Common Lane.

No-one was injured, according to Hertfordshire Police who appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The robber who was carrying the gun was black and about 5ft 7in (1.7m) tall.

He had a black hood pulled down to cover his eyes.

The second man was white with brown wavy hair and about 5ft to 5ft 5in (1.52m to 1.65m) tall.

He is thought to have been wearing a black hooded padded jacket, which was zipped up.

Det Sgt Gill Fawcett said: "I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anyone acting suspiciously to get in touch."
