Man arrested over death of Shobhna Jethwa

A middle-aged man has been arrested in Luton over the death of a mother found injured at her Bedfordshire home by her children.

Shobhna Jethwa, 44, was found at a house in Butely Road, Luton, on Friday afternoon.

A post-mortem examination has confirmed the cause of death was stab wounds.

DCI Mike Trotman offered his sympathy to the family and said Mrs Jethwa's daughter and two sons found her body at their home on their return from school.

"A man has been arrested this morning on suspicion of her murder," he said.

"I continue to appeal to anyone who has information about this incident to come forward and speak to the police in confidence."
