Two charged over fatal road crash in Hertfordshire

Two people have been charged after a crash in Hertfordshire in which a teenage boy was killed.

James Clennell, 16, who was a passenger in a car, died on Melbourne Street, Royston, in the early hours of 20 June.

Marcus Gibson, 18, of Woodland Road, Hertford, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and driving uninsured.

A boy, 17, of Royston was charged with possession of an offensive weapon and using a vehicle without insurance.

He was also charged with using a motor vehicle without insurance.

They have been bailed and are due to appear at Stevenage Youth Court on 13 October.
