Lorry rams police cars in traffic

Two men have been arrested after a suspected stolen lorry rammed three police cars and three other vehicles in Dunstable.

The incident happened after police spotted the flat-bed lorry in a traffic jam in the High Street at 17:20 GMT.

The lorry rammed the vehicles before colliding head on with another police car, a spokeswoman for Bedfordshire Police said.

Two police officers and three members of the public were injured.

Two police cars were written off and the High Street remains closed for an investigation.
