Girl, nine, slapped in Milton Keynes sex attack

A man has hit a nine-year-old girl in an attempted sexual assault in Buckinghamshire.

The girl was approached by a man in Linceslade Grove, Loughton, Milton Keynes, on Thursday afternoon.

He led her to a more secluded area near Lodge Lake and attempted to pull her trousers down.

The girl was slapped in the face before she managed to break free and alert a woman feeding ducks nearby.

Thames Valley Police said the man is described as light skinned, aged in his 30s and about 5ft 9in (1.75m) tall.

'Worrying incident'

He has very light blue bulging eyes and a long nose. He was wearing black clothing and a black hat.

After the incident the girl saw a woman who was feeding some ducks on the lake and asked her for help.

It is believed the woman tried to speak to the man. Detectives are appealing for this woman to come forward to assist with their inquiries.

The woman is described as being in her 70s or 80, quite small and slim. She was wearing a green and purple jacket and a long black skirt.

Det Sgt Luke Grove, investigating the incident, said: "This was a worrying incident, not to mention traumatic for the victim. Thankfully she wasn't seriously injured.

"We urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or recognises the description of the man, to come forward immediately."
