Met office warns of icy conditions overnight
The Met office has warned of icy conditions overnight as temperatures fall.
Heavy snow has caused travel disruption in all three counties over the weekend, with people stranded in their vehicles for several hours on the M40.
There have also been disruptions on the M1 near Milton Keynes after an accident.
Fire services have attended a number of incidents of flooding and fire alarms going off due to the adverse weather.
Most flights face continued delays of up to an hour or more at Luton Airport.
Firefighters are also urging people to stay away from icy waterways and frozen lakes.
Station Manager Ian Wilson said: "People who are tempted to walk or play on frozen waterways, or go to the rescue of animal or birds, face a serious risk of falling through and going under."
The weather on Monday is predicted to be cloudy, cold and misty with some patchy light sleet or rain at times.
