Luton town centre fight sees two men stabbed

Two men were stabbed and three police officers injured during "large scale disorder" in Luton, police have said.

Bedfordshire Police said a fight started in Gordon Street just after 03:00 GMT on Wednesday.

A spokesperson said that while about 100 people were in the area, only "10-15 people" were directly involved. Two arrests have been made.

The stab victims were taken to hospital but are not thought to have life threatening injuries.

The police officers suffered cuts and bruising.

The two arrests were made for suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and suspicion of affray.

Roads around the area have been cordoned off while an investigation takes place.
