Overturned lorry closes M25 in Hertfordshire

A lorry that crashed into the central barrier and overturned has closed the M25 motorway in both directions in Hertfordshire.

The motorway has been closed between J23 where the A1 joins the carriageway and J25 at Waltham Cross.

The accident happened at 08:00 GMT and there are no reports of injuries.

The Highways Agency said it was working on getting two lanes open clockwise but warned the anti-clockwise carriageway would be closed until after 14:15 GMT.

Police are reporting severe delays on the motorway and congestion on surrounding roads.
